The Fortunate Cup Coffee Café opened its doors at 120 West Avenue on September 15, 2008. The West Side of Saratoga has undergone a transformation over the last few years. However, it was still missing a comfortable place for people to meet and congregate. The Fortunate Cup fills that void by offering a clean, warm and inviting atmosphere that includes a fireplace, large-screen TV, free internet access and a conference room that can be rented for private meetings and functions. The drive-thru has been welcomed by many who travel West Avenue on a daily basis. The ample parking adds to the convenience.
In addition to coffee, loose-leaf tea is brewed fresh by the cup. Ask to see, and sniff, our tea sample jars to find the variety that suits your mood. Drink and Panini specialties are frequently changing so you will never tire of the selection available to you. Food orders can even be called in ahead of time and picked up at the drive-thru window.
The name of the café is based loosely on the name of a horse that ran at the Saratoga Racecourse. The horse was a friend's first venture into the world of thoroughbreds. The experience was unexpectedly, yet pleasantly successful. When the time came to begin my new venture, I hoped that the name would bring me similar success!
